I just got back from a quick little vacation in beautiful Lake Powell. A friend of mine invited us to join him and his family on their houseboat. Everyone had a great time, and it inspired me to write a little about houseboats, and jot down a few ideas about how to work the system a little to save some money, or better yet, get a houseboat for free. That's right, a free houseboat. My friend has some awesome ideas to set yourself up really well in the houseboat market.While personally, I don't feel that houseboats are considered real estate. They could technically be called homes, so I guess it would be acceptable to write about them here on Tibbshomes. I'll probably start the ball rolling with 2 posts. First, building your own houseboat. Second, earning yourself a free timeshare on a houseboat.
